While sharing the video, Vicky Kaushal wrote, "Remembering Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw of India ... This journey is going to be special." He has also tagged many of the film's companions in it. A year before today, his look was released on the day of Manekshaw's death anniversary in 2019.

Marshal Sam was known in the Indian Army for his boldness, frivolity, spot-retaliation and funny style. Sam was the army officer under whose leadership India won the war against Pakistan in 1971. Sam was born on 3 April 1914 in a Parsi family in Amritsar. Since childhood, he was very fearless and brave. Sam became the first General of the Indian Army to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. It is said that Sam was not at all afraid of the then Prime Minister, he used to call Indira Gandhi not the Madam but the Prime Minister. He used to answer Indira Gandhi so impatiently that everyone kept watching.
