Franchises are generally less in Tollywood. A lot of planning has to be done to make such investigation thrillers a franchise. But since director Shailesh Kolanu had the idea of a franchise from before, he made Hit 2 The Second Case with the kick given by Hit 1 The First Case. Hero Adivi Sesh, who impressed with films like Kshanam, Gudhachari, Evaru, Major, impressed as a cool cop with his unique body language and dialogue delivery. As he has done such thriller films till now, Sesh got into his role of K.D. without much effort. And Meenakshi Chaudhary acted well in the role of his girlfriend Arya. She supports the hero in emotional situations and gets good marks in the role of a girl who gets trapped by the villain at the end. And Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, Suhas, Komali, Srikanth Iyengar and others acted superbly in their respective roles. The scenes where the psycho killer bothers the hero with Kodi Burra are also impressive.
When it comes to the technical aspects, director Shailesh should be congratulated first. Investigative thriller films require a tight screenplay. Shailesh screened Hit 2 with such a screenplay. Although the movie starts normally, Raanu Raanu gives you edge of the seat thrilling moments. In the end, the director Shailesh dealt well with the killer and gave a hint to Hit 3 in an interesting way. When it comes to the music, the Egire Egire romantic song tuned by Srilekha is good. The background score is what gives life to crime thrillers. John Stewart Eduri played an important role in that regard. Cinematography by Mani Kandan is good. There was a bit of violence in the movie. But the story seems to require it. The first scene has to appreciate the way the whole movie is directed.
